ABOUT US

Queens Meadows is nestled on ten acres of unspoiled Himalayan terrain, situated on a picturesque hill 5 kilometres from Ranikhet, surrounded by acres of lush pine and deodar forests. It is one of the recommended eco-tourism resorts in the vicinity of the Himalayas. A passion project advocating responsible mountain tourism, it was initiated by the owner, Sanjay Sareen, who wanted to offer a “pristine Kumaon resort in its purest form.”

The 10-acre property features only 15 residential units and embodies seclusion and the essence of a typical Kumaon village, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. The crisp, pine-filtered air, azure skies, stunning snow-capped mountains, and uninterrupted vistas of the woods and valleys unite your body, mind, and soul. At Queens Meadows, you opt for comfort, harmony with nature, and wellness over the frantic pace of contemporary living.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As you ascend 600 meters amidst deodars and tall pines, the resort’s caretakers will carry your luggage while trained valets safely park your car in the designated area. On arrival, our warm and welcoming team will greet you and invite you to the 200+ acres of jungle landscape while admiring the magnificent Himalayan panorama. In your cottage or tent, you will notice the plush comforts of enormous beds with fluffy duvets, private sitting areas, and hot and cold running water.

You can choose to dine in the restaurant, on the wooden deck, in a secluded hideaway among the trees, or in the comfort of your own bed while enjoying gourmet cuisine made with fresh local produce and ingredients from our gardens. Our resort’s organic dairy provides all milk products, and Himalayan drinking water is sourced from a perennial freshwater spring.

You can explore the region’s spiritual, historical, famous, and picturesque sites, trek secluded mountain paths, enjoy jungle picnics, and spend evenings gathered around bonfires. The region is also famous for birdwatching, especially in Pangot (2.5 hrs drive), where both migratory and native birdlife can be seen.

After a guided village tour to understand the local culture, a forest walk, or a lazy day spent reading your favourite book on a hammock, you can end your evening with a bonfire, a delicious barbecue, and a forest dinner. Whether you are an adventurer, seeking the ultimate escape, or on a honeymoon, this is the perfect place to unwind and experience sheer Himalayan poetry.
